Very comfy bed. Great shower. Perfect location and customer service

Only one small heater working in large which seemed to only come on for alittle while, so with this, thin walls and single glazed windows the room was quite cold

Great location. I stayed in the 4 bed dorm room. Very nice and comfortable. Secure locker for valuables. Nice bathroom. Comfy bed. Friendly staff. I shared a photo which is the craft beer menu from the Brick which is on the same road as the Selina just up the hill. Highly recommend a visit there!

My first experience of a mixed dormitory stay. Very friendly staff on arrival, ideal for a short and sweet stay if you don’t mind being in with complete strangers.

Windows seemed not to be sealed properly result in strong winds battering the windows and a loud whistling noise throughout the night. The cleanliness of the rooms could have been better, but I’m not going to complain to much as I was only there for a flying visit.

Excellent location. Easy to access all Brighton city centre and the beachfront. Good room for a family stay.

Friendly and comfortable hotel. Close to the sea and to the shops. Easy access to cafes and restaurant just in the same street or very nearby.

Found the shower a little small for anyone not as petite as me travelling solo.

Everything. It was dirty. There was mould on the windows. The glass in the windows was cracked and coming in. The bedding had holes in it. The shower head was broken and covered in limescale

The staff were excellent, the room was great. Overall really happy with the hotel. Shame the restaurant is closed Tuesday and Wednesday. Had our 6 month son with us, so perfect having the bath and the kitchen facilities.

TV didn't work properly, floors weren't very clean. Could have done with better curtains and a bigger bin.

It’s very basic, could do with a little more attention to detail on the rooms, cleaning and service. My toilet roll was half used and no spare, the rooms are so big with great views and there just a basic bed,wardrobe and side table. No large mirror or pictures it’s very very basic. Alot of potential for a stunning hotel.

Location, easy access to seafront and local landmarks.

Initial room had no ventilation, requested a room with a window, which was provided, however, we were then unable to close windows, when it turned cold at night. The new room was dirty and dusty for 2 days, which made it unpleasant to walk bare footed in, or once showered. Unable to state no one to enter the room, which felt unsecure, and only thing cleaned daily was bin and toilet roll. Pictures shown on advert, do not match the hotel, no dining, no drinks, no restaurant or pizzeria. Extremely disappointed due to this experience, was a gift to my partner and I feel I let them down immensely. Reception need to be more professional and smiley, less people needed, as felt stared at and awkward. Bonus question: How was check out? Funny when I checked out at 10am, they had me as already checked out.

The people that I met there were good fun and the banter was very good, not the staff of course.

I didn’t like that the 3 girls at the front desk, 1 you asked a question and that had to be passed on to another girl and then to another girl who could only manage a little bit of English, so that alone was a mission on its own. I also didn’t like the fact that my clothes were stolen and then they made up lies to booking.com that I was running round half naked, well a had no t shirts as they were stolen, are they thick.. I also overheard an American fella who had a similar situation were as his belongings were missing. Now if anyone is thinking of staying here avoid it as it’s the worst place in Brighton to stay!! Now upon leaving I was told that I would get an extra 2 nights stay for another time I was there then when I rang to stay they made up a lie to say I broke something, no this place is rough and I would advise anyone not to book it. Feel free 2 at your own risk but don’t say I didn’t warn use..

The Manager John dealt with our complaint about the noise excellently - he couldn't do enough to try and make it up to us and we really appreciated his efforts. All the staff were friendly and helpful.

We stayed on a Bank Holiday Weekend and the hotel was very busy and very noisy at night as it's located at the end of a busy street on the seafront. None of us had much sleep the first night (nightmare with our young children!) so we raised a complaint with the Hotel Manager. Our review is good because John dealt with our complaint about the noise excellently - he couldn't do enough to try and make it up to us and we really appreciated his efforts.

We checked in at 14:20 and our room was filthy. I went down to reception and spoke to manager at 14:40 who said the hotel is ‘really busy and reception staff had checked you in to rooms 309 and 311 which had not been cleaned.’ There was hair everywhere and the toilet had not been flushed. The manager offered for us a later check out at 13:00 the next day but we were already leaving early so instead offered four free pints of beer. We accepted this but were not happy. I have attached some photos of the room and bathroom when we arrived. I have more available.

Location and big rooms

Everything it's more like a hostel than a hotel it's dirty the staff hardly speak English they demand 150pound deposit the place is fallen to bits curtains were broke single beds no double and if u want a double all they do is put 2 single beds together so not cumfy.

Ive stayed here before. First time i was a bit critical but knowing what to expect this time it was fine. Great location and comfortable enough. Really could do with a mirror in the room rather than the dark bathroom but we took one ourselves this time. Its clean and practical. I will stay there again for sure.

There was some pealing paint in the room and reception which could have easily been made good and would give off a better impression. But thats all really and thats not the end of the world.
